During the New Year's Call in Malacañang on Wednesday, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. met

with representatives from the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
The President promised the PNP and AFP that the government would fully support their welfare and general well-being in a shared statement on social media.
We're committed to protecting the welfare of our uniformed troops and their families, which is why the DND (Department of National Defense) has an increased budget for 2024," he stated.
Beyond duty, we prioritize their daily life, the President stated, and this dedication is demonstrated by the government's support of the Pension and Gratuity Fund and the Revised AFP Modernization Program, "ensuring financial stability for military and civilian personnel." He said, "I have authorized a particular budget for AFP Medical Center's Tertiary Health Care, which provides cutting-edge medical treatments, general wellness assistance, and rice subsidies.
